PROCEDURES
TO ADDRESS VIOLATIONS
Most first time minor
violations to the "Code of Conduct" should be resolved between
individuals or within the team. Serious violations to the "Code of
Conduct" should be immediately reported to the appropriate Division
Director and the Baseball or Softball Director. The Baseball or Softball
Director will conduct a thorough review of the situation (and, if necessary, with the assistance of
the appropriate Division Director) and report the findings to the LCYO Board of
Directors at the first scheduled Board meeting. Special Board meetings can
be called to address serious violations of the "Code of Conduct" at
the discretion of the LCYO President.
The Board of Directors
will make the final determination of which actions, if any, may be appropriate
to the circumstances. If disciplinary actions are necessary, options which
are available include, but are not limited to the following actions:
- Players: restriction of play, asked to leave team.
- Parents: asked to not attend games, barred from games.
- Coaches: restriction from coaching, barred from coaching.
- Board Member: relieved of Board Member duties, removal from Board.
